Performance Ranking
Participating labs' performances are used to calculate scores per analysis round to display a list of best performers. Labs not in the top see their own relative ranking and score.
Rank your lab! Without the test it is just a guess

Strengths and Weaknesses of Internal Laboratory QC
Internal QC is the most effective means of identifying issues such as instrumental drift, calibration failure, reagent contamination or consistent operator error.
It is less likely to identify: Measurement bias Measurement uncertainty Incorrect identification of samples Transcription errors Errors in individual sample management
Strengths of External Proficiency Testing (EPT)
Confidence in consistently producing reliable results is of importance to the laboratory, the organisation it belongs to and its clients.
EPT invariably shows wider variability of results than would be found with internal QC even when a standard method is used.
EPT data provides a more realistic estimate of actual measurement uncertainty than that quoted by an individual analyst.
EPT ranks laboratories against a Nominal or True Value obtained independently or as a consensus value from the results returned by participants.
